Harold Davis joins STX:LDN August to represent the Stacks GovLab and Advocates programme! ⚖

The Stacks community and ecosystem is a great place to be a part of and working on the basis of decentralised consensus is at the forefront of Stacks. Within the ecosystem, many are working to fully realise the capabilities that Stacks provides as an extension to Bitcoin.

What is the Stacks GovLab?

The Stacks GovLab is an initiative, made up of Stacks residents, developers and the community, working on governance and SIP proposals for the Stacks community and ecosystem.

Formed within the GovLab, the Stacks advocates programmes aim to support innovation and growth of the Stacks ecosystem, whilst allowing ecosystem participants to have their say in the wider context of governance on a whole.

The focus of the Advocates is long term sustainability of innovation and growth in the Stacks ecosystem. Bottom up power distribution is at the heart of our approach to ensuring an accessible space for community growth while maintaining the integrity of a user empowering web3 ecosystem. We aim to provide a unique commons distribution model for decentralized incentive structures, bringing longterm horizontal up-skilling networks & innovation to the foreground. -Harold Davis

Stacks Advocates, otherwise known as Advox, brings a whole new concept to Web3 communities and is rapidly becoming one of the most interesting concepts within the Stacks ecosystem.

About Harold

Harold is responsible for much of the design and research of the system that goes into consensus modelling and the usage of indigenous consensus within the overall framework of decentralisation.

Through Harold's research, he dives deep into many of the historical and current consensus models, used by humanity throughout time, to achieve a bottom-up approach to power distribution among communities and the wider world to achieve a level of decentralization among human interaction.

We have had plenty of talks with Harold and applaud him for the unique approach and hard work that both himself and HZ (GovLab Leader) have taken to breathe life into one of the most unique consensus modellings we have seen within the world of Web3.
