STX:LDN Launches the ‘Developer Breakthrough Program’ to Help Developers Build on Stacks

STX:LDN, is launching a new initiative called the ‘Developer Breakthrough Program’ to help and encourage new individual developers to understand the benefits of Stacks, Clarity (Stacks’ native programming language), and building applications or projects on Bitcoin L1 & L2.

The initiative will also help new developers find new job opportunities within the Stacks ecosystem, as well as provide development training to developer companies and teams that have no experience with Clarity.

Both objectives for, part of STX:LDN’s overall mission to find and grow the number of builders and projects in the Stacks ecosystem.

Speaking about the launch of the ‘Developer Breakthrough Program’, STX:LDN co-founder, Nathaniel Cole, commented:

“We want to create a circular economy and community for students, programmers, founders, and development teams.  This program is aimed at bringing all of these groups together to create smooth builder journeys, experiences, community opportunities and less friction to building on Bitcoin L1 and 2.”

Adam Haun, Head of Community Programs at the Stacks Foundation, which supports grassroots Stacks communities, also added:

“This self-started initiative is a big win for developers in the UK and the Stacks ecosystem. At the Stacks Foundation, we provide open-sourced educational resources and programs with the goal of empowering Bitcoin builders to take the reins and help scale efforts for the future of Bitcoin. Witnessing the Stacks London chapter drive this program forward is a testament to their passion and dedication, and a great case study for how localized efforts will propel the future of the ecosystem at large.”

The Roadmap to Success

The STX:LDN team has put together a comprehensive plan to grow the ‘Developer Breakthrough Program’ and utilize its success to grow the wider Stacks ecosystem.

First, STX:LDN will partner with top-tier, approved developer companies in order to provide resources and training, potential employment and collaborations, as well as offer development services to third parties.

Second, STX:LDN will host a series of workshops with partner organisations, in which developers will get hands-on experience working and building with Stacks and Bitcoin, supervised by experienced developers already building in the ecosystem.

Finally, via this initiative, STX:LDN will be able to fast-track the Clarity certification scheme, speeding up the process by which those that complete its workshops can earn a certification that attests to their ability to work with Stacks in production. We’ll be signing up participants throughout the summer, so be sure to register your interest to be the first to receive updates!
